This work visualizes Western melancholy and the Eastern sentiment of han (恨) through the structural deconstruction of clothing.
The countless paths of a sewing machine needle piercing and crossing the fabric are more than seams. They are traces of sharp wounds carved deep into the heart—stab wounds (刺創). Roughly repeated quilting and diagonal stitches running up and down embody layers of sorrow that remain unhealed. The frayed and torn silhouette is a remnant of grief that cannot be held onto. Through the countless scars left by the needle, I sought to convey profound inner solitude and mourning through clothing.

I applied a mixture of binder, black dye, and pearlescent pigment to a denim jacket, creating a dark, lustrous finish. The binder was used to improve pigment adhesion and form a cohesive surface coating.
I dissolved a recrystallizing agent in a solvent and immersed the gloves in the solution for an extended period, allowing crystals to form and accumulate on the fabric surface.
